Why does Zendesk say Dispute can "create, edit, and delete tickets"?
When you connect, Zendesk's approval screen lists what Dispute is allowed to do. One line reads Create, edit, and delete tickets. That's Zendesk's standard wording for permission to make any change to a ticket, because Zendesk doesn't offer a smaller "just add a tag and a note" permission.
What Dispute actually does to a ticket
When a reviewer decides a dispute, Dispute adds:
- a tag
- an internal note
That's all. It never changes, replies to, reassigns, merges or deletes tickets, and never touches anything else in your Zendesk.
What Dispute only reads
Everything else Dispute asks for is read-only: ratings, tickets, agents, groups and your automations (to see when tickets close).
You can see every change Dispute has made in each ticket's events. It shows up under the admin who approved the connection.
